A.C.A Registered Member Counsellor | Psychoanalyst
Women’s Health & Wellbeing Specialist
ÁtmaQatarse Therapist in Practice
Languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish
My work began through my own experiences in therapeutic spaces in 1996, and since 2008, I have been supporting women through counselling, particularly those navigating trauma, life transitions, grief, and the experience of feeling disconnected from themselves. I am a counsellor and psychoanalyst in practice, currently completing a Master of Pastoral Counselling (Clinical), and registered as a member with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). My work is especially focused on supporting women who have experienced domestic and family violence, sexual trauma, and complex emotional challenges. Over the years, I have learned that healing does not come from quick solutions, but from the possibility of being met with presence, consistency, and care. My role is not to rush your process, but to help you understand it — to gently explore what is felt, what is repeated, and what may still be unresolved beneath the surface. I offer online individual counselling in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Our work begins with an initial session (anamnesis), a space where your story can start to unfold without pressure, expectation, or the need to have everything figured out. Alongside individual sessions, I also facilitate women’s group spaces, including the Red Tent — a free, trauma-informed online gathering that offers a moment of pause, connection, and shared reflection in a respectful and supportive environment. My approach integrates psychoanalytic listening with a grounded and relational way of working. I recognise the connection between emotional experience and the body, and where appropriate, I may incorporate complementary practices to support regulation and awareness, always within an ethical and client-centred framework. At the heart of my work is a simple understanding: healing happens in presence. You don’t need to explain everything. You don’t need to be ready. You only need to arrive. I will meet you there — with clarity, respect, and care.
My work focuses on supporting men navigating trauma, life transitions, emotional shutdown, and the challenges that often come with redefining identity and direction, particularly after leaving structured roles such as military service or physically demanding professions. I am a counsellor, with a Diploma of Counselling and certification in Mental Health First Aid, alongside additional training in veteran support and compensation advocacy. This allows me to support not only the emotional aspects of a person’s experience, but also the practical realities that often accompany periods of instability or change. My approach is grounded, direct, and steady. I offer a space where you can speak openly, without pressure, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying — at your own pace. I work with men who may find it difficult to talk, who feel disconnected, or who are trying to regain stability after difficult experiences. Together, we focus on building clarity, strengthening internal structure, and creating a way forward that feels realistic and sustainable. Sessions are available online in English. Alongside my individual work, I support the structure and development of Ágape Women’s Support, contributing to a space that values both emotional depth and practical support. Whether you are navigating trauma, adjusting to change, or simply needing a place to think clearly without judgment, I offer a respectful, consistent, and grounded presence.
